Meet Hardanger fiddle queen Johanne Flottorp and learn "Gangar after Petter Veum".
Petter Veum was an important fiddler from Fyresdal, Norway. He made sure that many of the tunes from Fyresdal survived in a time when the fiddle was regarded as "the devils instrument", and burning fiddles was not uncommon.
He made many trips to Setesdal where he traded tunes with the fiddlers there, and this saved a lot of his material.
Meanwhile, check out Johanne´s course at The Folk Music Academy!
