Shetland Fiddle with Kevin Henderson

Meet one of Shetland's top fiddle players: Kevin Henderson! 

Kevin Henderson is a fiddler who draws on the rich fiddle music tradition of his native Shetland and his experience with leading bands including Boys of the Lough, Fiddlers Bid, Session A9 and Nordic Fiddlers Bloc to create an expressive and adventurously individual musical style.

In this workshop you will learn one of Kevin's hits: "The Magic Roundabout".
 If there is time, you will also learn a traditional Shetland tune.

How do I participate?

Around 10 minutes before the workshop starts, a big orange 'Join zoom meeting' button will appear underneath the countdown clock. You can click that button to join the Zoom workshop.

You will be put in a waiting room and the host will let you in.

If you haven't downloaded Zoom you will be prompted to do so.

  • Post in the chat if you have any questions
    • The host/teacher can then choose when to address questions that come up
